- Abstract
The author reflects on the time when U.S. ambassador Adolph Dubs was kidnapped and murdered in Afghanistan in 1979. The author narrates the events on the time when ambassador Dubs was held and killed at a hotel in Afghanistan and notes that in the subsequent three decades, Afghanistan has remained plague with violence and stuck in poverty. He calls for a new approach in helping the Afghanistan people that recognizes their conservatism and resistance to foreign-enforced change.
