- Abstract
The article reports developments related to the approval of various clinical trials by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA has approved Cardiac Dimensions Inc.'s commencement of Carillon Mitral Contour System pilot study for the treatment of mitral insufficiency. It also cleared AngioScore Inc.'s AngioSculpt Scoring Balloon Cather as well as Boston Scientific's Wingspan intracranial stent, Flextome Cutting Balloon Dilatation Device, and next-generation Taxus Liberte paclitaxel-eluting stent system.
