The article discusses different procedures that govern military jury of court-martial in issuing a sentence. Topics discussed include the book "Manual for Courts-Martial," the impact of courts-martial on the U.S criminal justice system, unique procedures that governs military jury in general court-martial (GCM) and procedures by which a GCM reaches a verdict of guilty. It mentions serious sentences imposed by courts-martial such as the death penalty and substantial periods of imprisonment.
