- Abstract
The article presents an examination into previously undocumented Middle English words found within the late 15th-century veterinary medical treatise "Propretees & medicynes of hors," by Wynkyn de Worde. Introductory details are given noting the bibliographic history of the work, also cataloged as "Medicines for Horses." Several medical terms from the work are then listed and defined in context, including basse, kemery, and marefownde.
