- Title
Carmen Sylva’s Links to Llandudno.
- Authors
Nixon, Laura
- Abstract
The article discusses a visit to Llandudno, Wales, by author Carmen Sylva/Queen Elisabeth of Romania as a corrective to the 2013 article "Romanian links could prove rewarding for Wales," by John Stevenson. It is argued that Sylva did not travel through Wales with a Prince Albert, as she did not have a son, and that the travels occurred before an affair between Sylva's nephew, Prince Ferdinand of Romania, and her traveling companion Hélène Vacaresco became known.
