- Abstract
The article comments on the article "Hepatocyte Growth Factor Promotes Remodeling of Murine Liver Fibrosis Accelerating Recruitment of Bone Marrow-Derived Cells Into the Liver." The authors of the study used a murine liver fbrosis model induced by repeated carbon tetrachloride injections. Based on studies, hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) exhibits mitogenic, motogenic and morphogenic activities for cells. It explains the mechanism of action of HGF gene therapy.
