- Abstract
This article focuses on effects of gender and social desirability upon responses of double-entendre stimuli. The present study investigated two issues that concern the double entendre word association test. The major hypothesis of the present study was not supported by the results. It had been predicted that there would be greater sexual content scores and longer response latencies in cross-sex S-E pairs than in same-sex pairs. The present findings did not corroborate previous studies that had found an interactive effect of S and E gender upon sexual responsiveness.
