- Abstract
The article presents case studies, one involving a 67-year-old woman with keratoconjunctivitis sicca treated with multiple superoinferior plug insertions in both eyes, and another involving a 76-year-old woman treated with superoinferior punctal plugs in each eye. It describes the search for and removal of intracanalicular punctal plugs in cases of severe canaliculitis with the use of traction sutures tied to Nakamura's fish-hook-type retractors, allowing plug search and removal by providing good field exposure in surgery.
