- Abstract
The article discusses the issue in the nonresident cricket players who participate the Indian Premier League (IPL) are taxable in India. The author notes that the IPL is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in the country sponsored by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He explains that the participants came from the major cricket playing states but the enforcement of tax would address the tax treaty and domestic tax law.
