- Abstract
A wider use of reinforced concrete structures makes it possible to use secondary waste of different industries in their production, promotes economical consumption of material and energy resources, reduces costs and time-consuming processes. One of such materials is slag concrete including industrial waste in its composition. In order to improve its strength properties and characteristics, steel fibers are added with high tensile and compressive characteristics. This material is called steel fiber reinforced concrete with slag. Axial tension and compression tests were performed on samples prepared on the basis of NLMK (Lipetsk, Russia) metallurgical slags with different volumetric content of fiber reinforcement. Tensile tests were conducted on a special experimental plant [3]. Test samples were made in the IP-100 press and in the R-20 universal tensile testing machine.
