- Abstract
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is a strict synchronization system which gets the azimuth gain by the coherence of pulses. This paper analyzes the effect of the time synchronization error by SAR radar system pulse repetition frequency (PRF) jitter and its limit and proposes an error compensation algorithm. The simulation and experimental results show the efficiency of the method. The simulation results, processing and error compensation results of experimental data are provided to prove the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed algorithm. The method is useful for system design, problem diagnosis and error compensation of practical SAR systems.
