- Abstract
The article analyzes the relationship of conversational reading, computational modeling of reading and the modern novel. Topics discussed are the hypothetical structure that mediates a reader's relationship to texts, the assumption of the non-identical relationship between the quantitative dimension of language and its meaning, and the different conversational trends exhibited by German, French and Engish autobiographies in relation to the Augustinian model of narrative conversion.
