- Abstract
The article deals with the impact of habitat loss and the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) on the decline in the number of stream-dwelling amphibians (SDA) found in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. Topics include the use of the area of occupancy (AOO) in estimating extinction vulnerability, the effect of riparian forest remoal, pollution and damming on SDA, and the threat of Brailian Forest Code changes to SDA. The computation of the maximum AOO is offered.
