- Abstract
The article offers information on the Microbiology in Urban Water Systems (MUWS), an interdisciplinary approach to the study of microbial communities in urban water system. It says that MUWS is an integrated project aimed at characterizing the microorganisms found in potable water distribution systems as well as sewer networks. Further, MUWS demonstrates the potential of a unified approach to study microbiological communities and to improve understanding of the functions of urban water systems.
