- Title
JAMA 100 YEARS AGO.
- Abstract
A reprint of the article "Being Supplanted," which appeared in the May 14, 1910 issue of the "Journal of the American Medical Association," is presented. It notes that there are several kinds of tests in life such as a situation wherein a physician needs great skill and resourcefulness in professional ability. It points out that sometimes it is the character of the physician that is put to the test when he is superseded by another physician. It contends that a physician who can cope positively with an undeserved slight will gain the love of a community.
