- Abstract
The article offers information on the gastropod Hexaplex trunculus' growth. It notes that shell height development depicts two phases of growth. It mentions that the first phase was fast with an exponential growth which lasts from hatching to five months. It adds that the second phase was described as a slow logarithmic growth lasting for 13 months. Moreover, it states that the development of the average total weight exhibited three growth phases. The first phase was described as a fast growth, in the second phase the growth is low and the third phase was depicted as the most important weight increase.
