- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined the synthesis of poly(vinyl butyral) (PVB)-titanium dioxide composite hollow fiber membranes through nonsolvent induced phase separation (NIPS). It notes that both the outer and inner surface of the membrane had a skin layer at the initial stage following membrane preparation. Results of the study showed that there was a direct correlation between initial water permeability and titanium dioxide content.
