- Abstract
The article explains the meaning of confounding by indication in a physical therapy study. Topic discussed include the influence of a confounder in the relationship between an exposure or treatment and outcome of the study, ways to reduce the risk of confounding such as selecting possible confounders based on knowledge about the condition and adjusting for the possible confounders, and tips on assessing the risk of confounding.
