- Abstract
An article on the relationship between German and Israeli historians following World War II is presented. The author offers historical reasons for German-Israeli tensions, as well as providing biographical information on Israeli historian Walter Grab and detailing his role in the founding of the Minerva Institute for German History at Tel Aviv University. The cooperation of Grab and the university with researchers from the German Democratic Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, and Austria discussed. The legacy of the Minerva Institute after Grab's death is also examined.
