- Abstract
The article discusses government regulation of German schools before and during World War I in Bucharest, Romania. Information is provided on the government policy surrounding the schools, an example of a schools inspection is provided, and the teaching of Romanian language in German schools is examined. The curricula used in Romanian German schools are analyzed including the teaching of vocational skills in the schools and the quality of the faculty and the disciplinary policy at schools are investigated. Differences between Protestant and Catholic schools are examined.
