- Abstract
The article discusses the differences between testate and intestate decedents as well as practicing lawyers and financial planners. It mentions how a number of demographic differences such as wealth, age, race, sex, and marital status affect the downward trajectory of certain groups and the upward trajectory of others. It also mentions factors that contribute to the wealth gap, including income inequality, racism, housing segregation, and lack of education about how to protect and grow wealth.
