- Abstract
The article examines the need of merit-based selection of judges on the Arkansas Court of Appeals. Topics discussed include the state Senate Bill 744 of 2011 that would have allowed citizens to vote for merit-based selection of judges; the Arkansas Code of Judicial Conduct; and of laws related to nomination of candidates for merit selection; and nonpartisan elections for judges.
