Architecture Interacting.
- Authors
Andresen, Brit; O'Gorman, Peter
- Abstract
The article focuses on several architectural projects and designs which have poetic and pragmatic intentions. It indicates that works by painters including Vida Lahey, Ian Smith, and William Robinson illustrate the poetics of places people inhabit. It asserts that the traditional wooden house of poet David Malouf reveals the poetics of space. It claims that Kenneth Frampton adopts the concept of traditional Japanese weaving in the landscape-building interaction. It also says that Ann Cline is particular in several components of buildings including wall, window, and door.
