- Abstract
The article discusses the reviving nature and the tactility, detail, and scale of sculpture photography. It discusses philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel's stance on sculpture photography, non-Hegelians concerns on haptic dimensions, and theories of touch by philosophers like Aristotle. It discusses tactility among the lights and shadows, relief for the photographic detail, and scale and punctum which is the gratuitous detail in works like Andrea del Verrocchio's Madonna and Child.
