- Abstract
The article focuses on an announcement from the British Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) that more than half of England is on track to obtain Officially Tuberculosis Free (OTF) status by the end of 2019. It mentions progress made in terms of cattle controls, biosecurity and badger control for the eradication of bovine tuberculosis, the plan to implement a statutory postmovement testing for cattle in low-risk areas and the continuation of badger culling in 2016.
