It is shown that a change in the SE current is opposite and equal in magnitude to a change in the absorbed current. Thus using the effect of potential contrast, allows measurement of voltage changes on a specimen by means of changes in the absorbed current. The present method offers a new possibility to complementary information, which can be helpful in various cases.
