- Abstract
A literary criticism of the novel "The Suffrage of Elvira" by V. S. Naipaul is presented. The novel tells the story of an election campaign in Trinidad and Tobago involving the Muslim and Hindu communities. Other themes in the novel include racism, segregation, identities, and beliefs in supernatural elements. The author also infused humor into the novel.
