It highlights examples of fascist rhetoric and actions, such as right-wing activists calling for the overthrow of democracy, a gubernatorial candidate making derogatory remarks about transgender and homosexual individuals, and the hiring of a professor who supports colonialism and promotes racist views. The author argues that fascism is deeply embedded in American culture and warns of the potential consequences if these ideologies are not confronted. The article emphasizes the importance of recognizing and challenging the seeds of fascism in everyday life.
