- Abstract
As a new form ol spatial expression, the space of How provides a new perspective for studying urban agglomerations. Information flow, as an important form ol space of flow, has transformed the original relationship of urban agglomerations. However, most of the current studies on urban agglomerations using information flow locus on describing the hierarchical relationship between cities or the external characteristics ol network structure, lack of systematic analysis of the network structure from "point" to "plane". In addition, most of the analysis methods do not consider the factor of distance. Therefore, this paper explores a new way of using inlormation flow to study the change ol geographic centrality with distance, and to analyze the influencing mechanism of urban connections in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration. This approach is mainly based on the assumption: the information flow affects the interaction between cities over a long distance. The study shows that the main network structure of the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration has changed from the pattern of taking Shanghai as the core to radiating around to a multi-core structure composed of four cities:Shanghai> Suzhou, Nanjing and Hangzhou, and the development of cities in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration shows a downward tendency from east to west. The change of distance will have a certain influence on the relationship between cities in flow space. On the scale ol short-distance, the increase of distance leads to gradual weakening of the interaction intensity between cities, while on the scale ol long-distance, the urban attributes become the dominant factors. The correlation between the selected influencing factors and information flow shows an increasing trend with the growth of years, in which the distance factor is negatively correlated with the intensity of information How, indicating that the flow space weakens the influence of distance lactor on urban connection intensity to a certain extent.
