A biography of musician Jan Dismas Zelenka is presented. He was born on October 16, 1679 in Lounovice, Bohemia and started his first employment with keyboard player and music patron Baron von Hartig in Prague, Czech Republic. Then he was employed as a violonist in the court orchestra of August the Strong in Dresden, Germany. His famous choral music compositions include "Missa Sanctae Caecilae ZWV 1", opera "Cleofide" and "Missa Dei Filii".
