- Abstract
To quantitatively characterize the torsion angle transmission performance of the medical stone basket, a device for testing the torsion angle transmission performance of the stone basket was designed, which can simulate the buckling state of the basket in the human body cavity in vitro. The device was used to test the torsion angle transmission performance of stone baskets with different weaving densities and lengths in the straight state and buckling state, and the torsion angle transmission coefficient was introduced for quantitative characterization. The results show that the buckling state will significantly reduce the torsional angle transmission performance of the basket. The torsional angle transmission coefficient of the guide wire of the basket with the braided density of 7 per centimeter in the straight state is reduced by 31% compared with the two buckling states. Under the same buckling state, the torsion angle transmission performance of the basket is negatively correlated with the braiding length of the guide wire and positively correlated with the braiding density. The device can accurately measure and characterize the torsion angle transmission performance of the stone basket with different weaving parameters and test states, and can provide a reference for the clinical application and development of the stone basket.
