The article focuses on the effectiveness of in silico genome scanning, or virtual image restriction landmark genomic scanning (RLGS) for DNA-methylation analysis. Information is given that this system generates simulated RLGS patterns and compares them with real RLGS patterns to provide genomic location information on target RLGS spot sequences. It is stated that RLGS is effective in the cloning of polymorphic spots.
