- Abstract
The article presents information on reducing the transmitting of plant pathogens with the help of Radio-frequency identification (RFID). It informs that RFID microchips placed in woody plants can be used to store and retrieve information on their health status. It also informs that RFID technology can be integrated with cell phones and netbooks for easy recording of images and audio and can be linked back to the chip and shared with global positioning systems (GPS).
