- Abstract
A critique is presented of poems such as "Home," "The Two Voices," and "The Princess" by Alfred Tennyson, as well as nursery rhymes copied by him while dealing with his dying father. The psychological aspects of home and secrecy in the philosophy of psychologist Martin Heidegger are applied to the poems, and Tennyson's personality, family relations, and his depiction of childhood.
