- Abstract
The article presents a critical exploration into the literary depiction of erotics and sexuality within the poetry of Algernon Charles Swinburne, focusing on Canto 2 of "Tristram of Lyonesse," entitled "The Queen's Pleasaunce." The particular thematic choices of Swinburne's version of the Tristran and Iseult Romance are highlighted, citing a unique depiction of sexual intercourse within the corpus of Victorian literature.
