- Abstract
The article discusses legal provisions concerning nonlethal weapons in the U.S. and their implications for self-defense and the right to bear arms. The functions of nonlethal weapons and their use in self-defense are tackled. The author offers his opinion about the restrictions imposed on nonlethal weapons such as stun guns and irritant sprays in some jurisdictions. He notes that the right to bear arms for self-defense is included in at least 40 state constitutions.
