An essay is presented describing the history and analyzing the features of the avant-garde poetry of Sweden in the 1960s. The emergence of the "concrete poetry" genre is discussed, outlining its key proponents including writers Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd, Bengt Emil Johnson, and Öyvind Fahlström. Analysis is also given detailing the movement's aesthetic philosophy and engagement with new media of its age.
