Abstract
The article cites a study which examines the sensitivity of ciprofloxacin, a popular antibiotic for Escherichia coli. It found out that a near 50% drop in the antibiotic use has reduced the percentage of samples containing resistant bacteria from 12% to 9%. However, it increases immediately as consumption rise again.
