- Abstract
The article discusses the temperature regimes of transit pipelines for steam and hot water movement. A new device for thermal insulation of high-temperature pipelines with a spiral-bent hose is proposed. The most effective control is a visual examination during routine technical inspections to detect timely leakage defects. Transparent thermal insulation enables to visually monitor the state of the protected pipeline without dismantling the thermal insulation. The article presents a criterion equation for the similarity of convective heat transfer of a spiral-bent hose filled with air and an equation for reducing the temperature of the cooling agent.
