- Abstract
Using questionnaire survey and interview methods, 3326 rural publie kindergarten teaehers and preschool education cadres in eight provinces and cities in the western China have been investigated on the structure and authorized size oi kindergarten teachers. The results show that from the perspective oi authorized size, the total number oi teachers on the permanent staff has been increased, but the lack oi staff is still serious , and teachers ’ access to staffing is also very single, that from the perspective oi structure, the structure oi rural public kindergarten teachers has been gradually diversified, the structure oi' teachers ’ age and teaching age have been gradually rationalized, but the proiessional qualification is still weak, and there are iew talents with high-education background and senior proiessional title, and that irom the perspective oi industry attractiveness , teachers ’ welfare has been gradually increased, but the coverage rate oi' the security system is low, teachers ’ teaching intentions and proiessional happiness are not high, and the industry ’ s attractiveness is low. It proposes that the authorized size and structure oi rural public kindergarten teachers should be optimized in a multidimensional way, that the channels ior introduction oi young talents and training channels should be broadened, that the treatment oi rural kindergarten teachers should be improved, and that the relevant guarantee system should be optimized
