- Abstract
The objective of this article is to investigate violence against women through a critical-urban perspective. Thus, it was necessary to address the aggression suffered by women through gender issue, presenting the transition between matriarchy and patriarchy, explaining also women's violation in their origins. In this sense, it was verified that under the urbanistic point of view, the planning of the cities is eminently male, excluding the female audience and this demonstration of power is just another bias of masculine domination. It was concluded that gender violence is only one shade of the urbanist boycott where women are minority in the plainning also are desconsiderated as users of the city as well. Lastly, we used the method of deductive approach, qualitative investigation, through documentary and bibliographic research.
