- Abstract
The article "Alternative methods for weed control in a wheat-corn-soybean crop rotation" reports on a research project by the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture. The project aims to develop alternative weed control methods to reduce the use of chemical-synthetic herbicides in Bavaria. Various techniques such as sensor-controlled hoeing devices and autonomous robots are being tested for their performance and environmental compatibility. The preliminary results are presented and discussed in terms of weed control effectiveness, yield protection, economics, environmental compatibility, and practicality.
