- Abstract
The article comments on the electoral protest launched by presidential candidate Andres Manuel López Obrador of the Democratic Revolution Party and supporters in response to the alleged election fraud by opponent Felipe Calderón in Mexico. In the U.S., "Washington Post" newpaper on July 30, 2006 accuse Obrador of launching an anti-democracy campaign. In addition, "New York Times" declared that Obrador escalated his campaign to undo official results. Andres Manuel López Obrador filed 90 pages of purported evidence to the Federal Electoral Tribunal. Soon after, thousands of Mexican protested in support to Obrador.
