- Authors
Castro, Robert F.
- Abstract
The article explores ways in which protean masculinities become inextricably linked to ideas that promote racial domination in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands. Particularly, the author analyzes how the Minuteman group ritualizes its own masculinity through racially-motivated violence aimed at undocumented persons. Moreover, the article discusses how variable masculinities become associated with racial supremacy by Minuteman activities and ideologies.
