- Abstract
The article features a tribute to Law Professor David F. Cavers. It features a recollection of how Cavers was as a Professor of Law at Duke University Law School in the 1930s. Cavers is said to be one of the few educators at Duke that has created an educational opportunity that may never be topped. The poem "Faculty Meeting -- An Epic In Miniature" by Lyman Brownfield, former student of Cavers and partner at Brownfield & Cramer in Columbus, Ohio, which describes Cavers is presented. An anecdote about the encounter between Brownfield's mother and Cavers after the graduation ceremonies is also featured.
