- Authors
Norton, Robert E.
- Abstract
The article presents the author's response to Steven Lestition's comment on his essay on Isaiah Berlin's notion on expressionism. According to the author, Berlin discussed the relevance of the idea of expressionism to Johann Gottfried von Herder, a German philosopher. He states that Herder considered expressionism as a human behavior which has been an indicative of the character of an individual or the society as a whole. He asserts that Lestition have recklessly participated in the falsification of Herder's teaching of expressionism.
