The article focuses on specific legal barriers Native American victims of domestic violence face in accessing justice. Topics discussed include need for states to enforce tribal protection orders through full faith and credit under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) 2013; federal government to provide tribes with access to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) to enter tribal orders; and importance of tribal judicial sovereignty.
