- Abstract
This article discusses the 2005 White House Conference on aging, convened in Washington D.C. and focuses on the conference's goal, to develop resolutions and implement strategies to guide the President of the U.S. and Congress in formulating policies for older adults. The conference's theme, "The Booming Dynamics of Aging: From Awareness to Action," urged U.S. President George W. Bush to address the needs of individuals born from 1946 to 1964. Delegates were asked to envision what they hoped to see occur over a 10 year period regarding health care policy reform. In other words, they were to create a "blueprint for aging" in the United States.
