- Abstract
The article reports on the death of considerable amount of children at the Gorakhpur Public Hospital, Uttar Pradesh, India, because of the lack of oxygen cylinders. It mentions that several neonates who were not inflicted with encephalitis also died at the private hospital. It states that above mentioned deaths highlight India's meagre health budget, acute shortage of trained staff and clinics, and lack of well-managed intensive care units.
