- Abstract
The influence of structure parameters and finishing method on cotton fabric drapability was discussed. Eight kinds of plain woven cotton fabrics with different structure parameters were treated by soft finishing, noniron finishing, liquid ammonia soft finishing, liquid ammonia noniron finishing and liquid ammonia tide crosslink finishing separately. Then, PhabrOmeter fabric style tester was used to test the drape coefficient of each fabric. With the help of grey correlation analysis and correlation analysis, the relationships between structure parameters and drape coefficient after different finishing methods were analyzed. The test results showed that the mass per unit area and thickness have obvious linear relationship with drape coefficient for this type of cotton fabrics. For the same structure parameters, the drapability of cotton fabric after liquid ammonia tide crosslinking was better. It is considered that both structure parameters and finishing methods have obvious influence on fabric drapability.
